Communities In Schools of San Antonio (CIS-SA) is a nonprofit organization that partners directly with local schools to support students facing academic, social, and personal barriers. By placing trained site coordinators on campuses, CIS-SA provides individualized case management, connects families with essential community resources, and builds programs that promote attendance, academic success, and overall well-being. The San Antonio Alumni Chapter is a proud partner in this work through our Room to Read and Learn 2 Live programs, offering hands-on support that strengthens student success. We also champion CIS-SA’s annual Stuff the Bus School Supplies Drive, helping ensure students start the school year equipped and ready to thrive.

                                   

🎁 Project Joy Gift Donation

Project Joy, a signature initiative of Communities In Schools of San Antonio (CIS-SA), provides holiday gifts to students who may otherwise go without. Each gift reminds a child that they are valued, supported, and cared for by their community.

The San Antonio Alumni Chapter (SAAC) is proud to partner with CIS-SA to bring joy and encouragement to students at Booker T. Washington Elementary this holiday season.

⭐ How SAAC Participates

Join fellow Chapter Members and Silhouettes in adopting a student, shopping from their wish list, and helping us deliver holiday cheer in person.

📝 1. Volunteer Sign-Up  Sign Up   

SAAC collects names of Chapter Members and Silhouettes who want to participate in the gift donation program.  Sign up no later than 11/26/2025

📊 2. Share Participation with CIS-SA

We provide CIS-SA with the total number of SAAC volunteers.

📋 3. Student Wish Lists

CIS-SA sends SAAC the list of students and their holiday wish lists.

🤝 4. Matching Participants to Students

Each volunteer is matched with a specific student and receives their wish list. Gifts are limited to $25.

🛍️ 5. Shop for Your Student

Volunteers purchase the items from their assigned student’s wish list.

📦 6. Gift Drop-Off   Holiday Jingle Mingle

• Bring your gift to the SAAC Holiday Jingle Mingle, or

• Coordinate a separate drop-off date if you cannot attend.

🎉 7. Gift Delivery Celebration

SAAC will select a date between Tuesday, December 16, 2025 and Thursday, December 18, 2025, during school hours, to host a small celebration with the students and deliver the holiday gifts in person.
