Program Overview
Room to Read envisions a world in which all children can pursue a quality education that prepares them to lead fulfilling lives and create positive change. Founded in 2000 on the belief that World Change Starts with Educated Children®, Room to Read works to build a world free from illiteracy and gender inequality.
Our chapter supports Room to Read by training Kappa volunteers to promote literacy in local elementary schools through monthly read-alouds, reading activities, and library book donations.
