Good Health Wins San Antonio Collaboration

Our collaboration supports the efforts of The Centers for Disease Controls (CDC) as it relates to educating and testing the public for COVID-19 and FLU vaccinations. We have partnered with the National council of negro Women (NCNW) organization partnership, the largest response to the COVID-19 pandemic stateside.

The mission of the Good Health Wins San Antonio Collaboration is to advocate for the understanding the importance of immunizations and work to create an infrastructure for good health. This is achieved by reducing health disparities, increasing vaccination opportunities, providing vaccination education, and identifying & dispelling the drivers of vaccine hesitancy.

Vaccines, Veggies & Votes Initiative

This activity aims to educate, advocate, and impact families and communities to end the pandemic, address health disparities, and shine the light on the importance of good health. The goal is to increase vaccination rates, expand access to fresh foods by stressing healthy living best practices, and provide voter registration services. 

Our events have taken place throughout San Antonio in locations such as the MLK March, St. Anthony Street Helth Fair, Juneteenth Block Party & Fair, etc.

Kappas In The Kommunity

The San Antonio Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. (SAAC) exhibites their service-minded attitude toward educating the community on the benefits of maintaining Good Health and Healthy neighborhoods. SAAC and their Good Health Wins San Antonio Collaboration Partners provides Covid-19 Vaccinations, Covid Bivalent Booster & Flu Shots, Healthcare Enrollment Assistance, Home Health Care Information, Nutrition & Healthy Diet information, Fresh Vegetable Distribution, $100 HEB Gift Card Vaccine Incentive Distribution & Provided Voter Registration Services at several San Antonio Community Immunization Events. 

Conversations with the Collaborative

The Good Health Wins Virtual Initiative uses media to educate, advocate, and impact families and communities to end the pandemic, address health disparities, and shine the light on the importance of good health and healthy neighborhoods.

The Good Health Wins San Antonio Collaboration's Health Equity Platform Goals are to:

1. Increase Community Immunization Rates, disseminating vaccine information, addressing mis- and disinformation, and building vaccine confidence.
2. Expand access to Fresh Foods by stressing healthy living & Nutrition best practices while also addressing Food Insecurity issues.
3. Educate the Community of the Covid-19 Pandemic impacts related to Mental Health, and
4. Encourage increased Voter Engagement & Civic Participation.
